The rebates help offset the cost of a solar photovoltaic electric system. Austin Energy offers customers one of the country's best solar photovoltaic rebates, at $4.50 per watt. This pays between 45% and 75% of the cost of installing a system. San Antonio Solar Installation Rebate The city of San Antonio offers rebates to help customers implement solar photovoltaic technology in their homes and businesses. The rebates help offset the cost of a solar photovoltaic electric system. The city of San Antonio will rebate $3 per watt with a maximum rebate of $10,000 or 50% of the total cost.
